Go Go Goblin 2 takes the player back to the catapult-inspired game now with more added twists. The goal in this game is quite the same from its previous version. The goblin should be thrown up in the sky using a catapult. The player must try to reach the farthest distance or the castle at the end itself. Lots of obstacles will slow down the goblin, like spikes, mud pools, and camp fires. The player can use the collected coins to buy upgrades and funny gadgets; wings, rockets, armor, and rubber ball. The farther the distance reached, the higher the bonus coins given as well.

Go Go Goblin 2 is just like the first game in a lot of ways. If goblins were bored or trying to invade the human realm in a comical way then this game is that kind of representation. Go Go Goblin 2 is a game where you need to get farther at every each turn. It sounds easy but it isn’t because there will be a variety of obstacles in your way. The good thing is that the game isn’t a chore to play and is actually quite fun when you play it longer than you should be. Invade the human realm distance by distance.

Aesthetics:

The visuals of the game have that cartoony vibe to it. It does look good as well as being bright and colorful. The art is by no means high end but it works for the game. There are a lot of comedic aspects of the art which makes it better. It’s also interesting to note that if you use certain abilities or obtain several items, your Goblin will have an outfit change which makes it funnier in a sense. The sound has that whimsical tribal tune to it. It does tend to loop forever but it has a good beat. You’re too immersed in the game anyway to find the music annoying or disturbing.

Gameplay:

The objective of the game is to reach then end goal which is the castle. That sounds simple enough but getting there would be hard. That’s because in the early parts, you have no abilities and upgrades yet which is why the distance you cover will be short. You just need to get enough coins to buy the power-ups you need. One you get enough coins, you can choose from different upgrades and power-ups. There are four kinds of power-ups namely abilities, passives, launchers and comrades. The abilities are the ones you need to press, the passives are already there usable on the get go, launchers are the ones you use to launch you in the air and comrades are some of your fellow goblins help you cover distance or take out humans. In terms of controls you just need to press the mouse or space bar key to launch. Make sure to hit the MAX area to get maximum power of your launcher. Once your Goblin is launched in the air you just need to wait for him to either stop bouncing or get stopped forcibly by obstacles. There are humans in the farther areas which hinder your Goblin from moving forward. When you have purchased abilities you can press the buttons on the instructions to use them. Like press up for the rocket, down for the bouncing ball right for the wings and left for the shield. The game has a lot of replay value and can make you play for an hour. It’s the kind of repetitive game that would make you want to play it more and more and not because you’re frustrated with it.
